This policy explains what information is handled when you use CentDaily (centdaily.com). In short: you do not need an account, we do not sell personal information, and the numbers you type into our tools stay in your browser.
Information stored in your browser
Some features save information in your browser's local storage so they keep working the next time you visit: your language, theme and temperature unit, the cities you follow for weather, your approximate location for local weather, budget tracker transactions, savings goals, bill reminders and short-term copies of data such as weather and prices. This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Information handled by our hosting and analytics providers
- Hosting and security. The site is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Visitor statistics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across websites. We see only totals, such as page views, referring sites, device types and countries.
Services your browser contacts directly
To show live information, some pages ask other services for data directly from your browser. These services receive your IP address as part of the request and are governed by their own privacy policies:
- GeoJS – estimates your city from your IP address to show local weather and time.
- Open-Meteo – weather forecasts and air quality for a location.
- National Weather Service – official weather alerts.
- BigDataCloud – only if you choose to use your precise location: turns your device's coordinates into a city name. Your browser asks for your permission first.
- CoinGecko – cryptocurrency prices on crypto pages.
- FDIC – the bank lookup tool.
- Nager.Date – dates of public holidays.
- TradingView – market charts and quotes on market pages. TradingView may set its own cookies inside these widgets.
Our fonts and daily data files are served from our own site, not from third-party servers.
What we do not do
- We do not ask you to create an account or fill in forms.
- We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The site is intended for adults.
If you email us
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to reply and to fix any problem you report. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security or account numbers.
Your choices and rights
You can clear the data stored in your browser at any time, block location access, or use your browser's privacy settings. Because we do not keep personal profiles, there is usually nothing for us to look up or delete. If you live in a state with privacy rights, such as California, and have a question or request, email contact@centdaily.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how information is handled, for example by adding new features or advertising, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
