CentDaily wants every number on the site to be useful, clearly sourced and easy to check. This page explains how our content is made.
Calculators
- Calculators use standard, published formulas, such as the loan amortization formula and the official rules for income tax, Social Security and required minimum distributions.
- Yearly figures, including tax brackets, contribution limits and benefit amounts, come from official sources such as the IRS, the Social Security Administration and state tax agencies, or from respected compilations of them. Each page names its sources.
- We review these figures when new official numbers are published, usually once a year.
Daily data pages
- Pages such as mortgage rates, Treasury yields, inflation, gas prices and exchange rates are updated automatically from their sources every day, or whenever the source publishes new numbers.
- Each page shows where the data comes from and the date it applies to. Short summaries on these pages are written automatically from the data using fixed templates; we do not change the numbers.
Official updates
Our news section lists announcements published by U.S. government agencies, such as the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the Federal Reserve and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Each item links to the original source. We do not copy or rewrite articles from commercial news publishers.
Guides and translations
- The explanations and answers below each tool are written with the help of AI tools and checked against official sources.
- Pages in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese and Tagalog are translated with the help of AI tools. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version controls.
Independence
No company pays to appear on CentDaily, and we do not publish sponsored content. If that ever changes, sponsored content and paid links will be clearly labeled.
